Since graduating from university (BBS, PGDPA) in 2001 I worked in established Chartered Accountancy firms doing Audit and Accounting, steadily increasing in seniority to the position of Business Services Manager.
Early in 2012, I took a turn in my career path and took up a position in a corporate environment as a company accountant, responsible for the management and statutory reporting functions of the company. Since leaving this position I returned to public practice and established my own accountancy practice as well as undertaking contract work with local accountancy firms and corporate entities New Zealand wide.
In 2009 I became a full member (Chartered Accountant) of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and in 2018 gained my certificate of public practice, although I have now relinquished my membership.

In addition to the usual preparation of financial statements and IRD returns, development and management of client relationships and management of workflow and deadlines, I have also been involved in team recruitment and development.

I have extensive experience using and training the MYOB suite of products, and have been a Xero certified advisor since 2013, with experience using and training others to use the Xero software
